September 17, 2008 - January 11, 2009 Under the auspices of the Ministery of Culture, we participated in this fair and exhibited objects from our collection at the Jewish Museum of Frankfurt.
We also displayed various panels and photos describing Glimpses of Jewish Culture in Turkish Society; History of the Turkish Jewish Press, History of the Camondo Family, Chronological Photos of Brides and Grooms from 1860 to 1975. Furthermore, the Jewish Museum of Frankfurt also participated in the fair with an exhibition of "Hebrew and Ladino Bookcovers published in the Ottoman Empire from the 16th to the 19th Century". Jak and Janet Esin’s concert of Judeo Spanish songs was greatly appreciated by the visitors present at the opening.
